Cron undergoes left thumb surgery, expected to be ready for spring

ANAHEIM — C.J. Cron underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left thumb on Tuesday and is expected to be cleared to resume baseball activities in six to eight weeks, the Angels announced. The club anticipates him being ready for Spring Training.
