Jose Mourinho has apologised to Manchester United fans around the world for Sunday’s defeat to Chelsea.
The former Chelsea manager endured a nightmare return to Stamford Bridge as United were brushed aside 4-0.
It was United’s heaviest away league defeat since 1999 and was also Mourinho’s biggest loss as a Premier League manager.
Mourinho is hoping to bounce back with victory over Manchester rivals City in Wednesday’s EFL Cup, with a quarter-final spot and bragging rights up for grabs.
