- Updated: October 26, 2016
Jay Threatt There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of A Division and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, derby games, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.First defeat of league’s leader Alba (3-1) against sixth ranked Sopron KC (3-2) 80-73 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Alba. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 28-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import Austin Dufault (205-90, college: Colorado) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Akos Keller (208-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for Alba. Sopron KC moved-up to third place. Alba at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Szolnok. Alba will play next round against Jaszberenyi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sopron KC will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Vasas in Budapest.
