CLEVELAND — Only a few innings into his first career World Series game, and Corey Kluber has already stamped his mark on the history books.
Kluber struck out eight batters through the first three innings of World Series Game 1 against the Cubs, becoming the first in Fall Classic history to accomplish that feat. He also became the first Indians pitcher to record eight strikeouts in an entire World Series game, helping the Indians maintain their early 2-0 lead over the Cubs.
