Klopp: Sturridge was brilliant

Jurgen Klopp described Daniel Sturridge’s match-winning performance against Tottenham as ‘brilliant’ after Liverpool’s 2-1 victory.
Sturridge, who has found first-team opportunities hard to come by under Klopp, scored in both halves as Liverpool reached the last eight of the EFL Cup for a third consecutive season.
The England striker has only started four Premier League games this season, but Klopp was full of praise for the 27-year-old after the game.
He told Sky Sports: “It was good, he did what he had to do, and it was brilliant. He could have scored three or four, but it was really good. That’s his real strength and he showed it again.”
