Now on roster, Salazar may be key for Tribe

CLEVELAND — The Indians made only one adjustment to their roster for the World Series, but the decision could have a big impact on the team’s championship chances.

Cleveland officially announced on Tuesday that right-hander Danny Salazar has been added to the 25-man roster for the best-of-seven Fall Classic against the Cubs, following his comeback from a strained right forearm. The teams will square off in a historic World Series beginning tonight at Progressive Field.

Salazar’s showing in a three-inning simulated game on Sunday convinced Cleveland that he was ready to return.
