Bondi Beach set for Melbourne

Aidan O’Brien’s Bondi Beach has arrived in Australia ahead of the Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington next week.
The Galileo colt, who finished 16th in last year’s renewal, is owned in partnership with Lloyd Williams who has won the Cup on four occasions.
‘Team Williams’ could run four runners next week with Almandin, Gallante and Assign joining Bondi Beach in the ‘race that stops a nation’ and part-owner Nick Williams is happy with their team.
“Bondi Beach has arrived in Australia in great order, we are very happy with him,” Williams told www.racing.com.
“Aidan O’Brien is the best trainer in the world, there are no negatives with him and the Irish are eternal optimists. Ryan Moore will be flying in to ride him and his form this year has been very good.
“Our three local runners are in great order, Robert Hickmott is very happy with how they are a week out. Almandin will be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy in the Cup and he is spot on at the moment.
