Vardy, Pogba on Ballon d’Or list

Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Hugo Lloris have been named on the 30-man shortlist for the 2016 Ballon d’Or.
France Football have announced all the players in contention for the prize, awarded last year to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, who is again among the nominees along with Neymar, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Also representing the Premier League are Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester City duo Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne.
Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Juventus trio Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Gianluigi Buffon also feature.
Real Madrid have Bale, Ronaldo, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric on the shortlist.
