Mahrez, Pogba on Ballon d’Or list

Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez and Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris have been named on the 30-man shortlist for the 2016 Ballon d’Or.
France Football have announced the first 20 players in contention for the prize, awarded last year to Barcelona forward Lionel Messi, who has again been named on the shortlist.
Joining Mahrez and Lloris from the Premier League are Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester City duo Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne.
Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Juventus trio Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Gianluigi Buffon also feature.
Real Madrid have Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric on the shortlist.
