Abou Diaby faces another spell on the sidelines after Marseille confirmed the midfielder will be out for four months after an ankle operation.
The French club revealed the former Arsenal midfielder underwent an operation in London after complaining of pains in his right ankle for several weeks.
His estimated time out means he is unlikely to return before the end of February.
