Cameroon pip Kenya in Nairobi friendly

Cameroon warmed up for the 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win over Kenya in a friendly played on Saturday (22 October 2016) at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi. ‘Les Lionnes’ scored the winner in the second half via a Christine Manie penalty. Both teams used the match to prepare for the 10th edition of the Women’s AFCON which kicks off on November 19 in Cameroon. The two sides will face off for the second time on November 6 in Limbe where Kenya will based for their maiden participation in the biennial championship. “It was a good match for both sides because it showed us how far we have come as far as preparation is concerned. We have also tested the strength of our players to see what we need to do before the tournament starts in three weeks,” Enow Ngacho, Cameroon head coach told CAFOnline.com after the match.
