Sunday Briefing: David Peters Wins the PokerStars Sunday Million

The attention of the poker world may be focused on the European Poker Tour Malta Festival, but there was also plenty of tournament action online this Sunday, too.

Last week, David “dpeters17” Peters saw his PokerStars Sunday Million run end in a 16th-place finish. Yesterday, Peters made amends for his “close but no cigar” result by walking away with the $143,505.41 first-place prize.

It was a fantastic result that boosts Peters’ online tournament winnings through the $5 million barrier and represents his third-largest online cash in his illustrious career this far. Peters also has a great record in live tournaments, where he has won almost $12.5 million.
