Strachan’s England test crucial

SFA chief executive Stewart Regan said Scotland’s game against England next month is “really important for Gordon Strachan”.
The Scots won in Malta in their opening World Cup Qualifier but have since been held 1-1 at home by Lithuania and beaten 3-0 in Slovakia.
Those results earlier this month saw Strachan’s future as manager widely questioned, with Sky Sports’ Charlie Nicholas suggesting his position could hinge on the outcome of November’s trip to Wembley.
