After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the B League and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Peristeri GS (3-1) in Athens on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Panerythraikos (3-1) 72-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Peristeri GS. It was a key game for the top position in South. Panerythraikos keeps a position of South leader, which they share with Mandraikos and Peristeri GS. Panerythraikos is looking forward to face Panelefsiniakos (#11) in Eleusina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Peristeri GS will play on the road against Apollon Sm. (#13) in Smyrnis and is hoping to win this game. Very significant was Ermis Agias’ (#6) just 2-point road victory against 7th ranked Polygirou in North 96-94. Ermis Agias (3-1) moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Evropi. Polygirou at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Ermis Agias will play against Evropi (#4) in the next round. Polygirou will play against the league’s second-placed Kastoria and hopes to get back on the winning track. Quite upsetting was Nea Kifisia’s home defeat in a game versus Mandraikos 66-59. It was a key game for the top position in South. Mandraikos (3-1) keeps a position of South leader, which they share with Panerythraikos and Peristeri GS. Loser Nea Kifisia dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Mandraikos will meet at home Tritonas S. (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Nea Kifisia will play against Esperos Patras and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the A2 just one year after relegation. A very interesting game took place in . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ergotelis. Proteas V. moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with 4 other teams. Ergotelis at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Proteas V.’s next round opponent will be Marousi (#12) at home where they are favorite. Fourth ranked Evropi (3-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Charilaos TM (2-2) 77-75 on Sunday evening. Evropi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Ermis Agias. Charilaos TM at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Evropi will face Ermis Agias (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Charilaos TM will play against Gefyra and hope to win that game. There were no shocking results in the other games in round 4: In North Filippos Veroias was destroyed by Stratoni on the opponent’s court 79-54. Ermis Lagkada managed to outperform Karditsas in a home game 74-69. Anatolia managed to beat Aias Evosmou on the road 68-56. Gefyra defeated HANTH on its own court 77-72.
