StefanFekete 2MLS Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.Round 3 most important game was a defeat of KK Jagodina (2-1). They were defeated by Futog (1-2) 89-76 on Friday night. The game without a history. Futog led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.3 percent from the field. Futog forced 21 KK Jagodina turnovers. It was a great evening for Marko Torovic who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Hungarian point guard Stefan Fekete (190-86) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin guard Nikola Vujicic (185-89) with 16 points and 5 rebounds. KK Jagodina will play next round against Vojvodina NS trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Futog will try to continue on its current victory against Mladost SP in Smed. Palanka. Pirot (2-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Velika Plana (1-2) 87-77. It was an exceptional evening for center Nemanja Arsic (214-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Marko Stevanovic accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds. Ivan Pendic (-89) came up with 17 points for Pirot in the defeat. Velika Plana will play against Proleter Naftagas (#9) in Zrenjanin in the next round. Pirot will play on the road against Srem (#14) in Sremska Mitrovica and hopes to get back on the winning track. Quite upsetting was Proleter Naftagas’ home defeat in a game versus Radnicki 1950 91-83. The best player for the winners was Srdjan Stojanovic who scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Stefan Atanackovic who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Proleter Naftagas’ coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Radnicki 1950 will meet Kolubara (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Proleter Naftagas will play against Velika Plana and hope to win that game. The game between Top Four teams took place in Aleksinac. host Napredak (3-0) defeated Zlatibor (2-1) 82-67. It was a good game for Aleksandar Danilovic who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak’s next round opponent will be Boljevac (#13) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Zlatibor will play against Sloboda (#6) and hope to win that game. Sloboda (2-1) crushed at home Srem (0-3) by 29 points 98-69, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Vuk Jovanovic who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sloboda will face Zlatibor in Cajetina in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Srem will play at home against Pirot (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.In the last two games of round 3 Boljevac was destroyed by Vojvodina NS on the opponent’s court 100-72. Mladost SP unfortunately lost to Kolubara in a home game 83-88. Proleter Naftagas – Radnicki 1950 83-91Quite upsetting was Proleter Naftagas’ home defeat in a game versus Radnicki 1950 91-83. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 29-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Hungarian Srdjan Stojanovic (197-91) who scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Milos Tripkovic (197-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Stefan Atanackovic (196-84) who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Predrag Nikolic (199-83) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively.
