David Yan Leads Final 6 Players in PokerStars EPT Malta €25,750 High Roller

After two grueling days of play, the 65-player field of the PokerStars EPT Malta €25,750 High Roller has been cut down to six. All of them are guaranteed at least a payday of €98,740, but all eyes are on the massive first price of €465,800.

The chipleader is none other than David Yan, who finished second in the same event in EPT Barcelona last August, banking €704,755. Yan finished the day with 887,000 in chips, leading a stacked field. These six players will return tomorrow as follows:

The day started off with 27 survivors of Day 1, who were joined by five new entrants on Day 2. Paul Newey’s reentry lasted just one hand, as he found himself on the wrong side of ace-king versus pocket queens. Vladimir Troyanovskiy was also among the early casualties. He found himself in good company, as Dan Shak, EPT 8 Prague champion Martin Finger, EPT 9 Grand Final winner Steve O’Dwyer and four-time EPT side event winner Charlie Carrel were all forced to the rail as well.
