Rangers promote pair of crosscheckers

ARLINGTON — Jake Krug, an Arlington native who will be entering his 15th season with the Rangers, has been promoted to national amateur crosschecker. He spent the past three seasons as a special assignment crosschecker.
Krug graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in economics. He has been an amateur scout, and he spent four years in player development. Two of those years were spent as director of Minor League operations.
The Rangers have also promoted Ross Fenstermaker to international crosschecker after he spent five seasons as a professional scout. He is entering his eighth season with the Rangers.
