Edwards says he’s good to go
- Updated: October 20, 2016
LOS ANGELES — Cubs reliever Carl Edwards Jr., whose Game 4 appearance ended prematurely due to left hamstring tightness, said after the Cubs’ 10-2 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday night that he does not expect the issue to affect his availability for the rest of this National League Championship Series.
Edwards relieved Mike Montgomery to start the seventh and retired the first two batters he faced before issuing a walk to Corey Seager. Edwards said he slipped on the mound while facing Seager and felt his left leg slightly buckle.
