Kal to fly Yafai family flag

Kal Yafai admits coming in at short notice is a risk but wants to keep the family flag flying.
The unbeaten super-flyweight has been added to Saturday’s card in Birmingham, live on Sky Sports, in an eight round fight with his opponent yet to be confirmed.
Younger brother Gamal was due to make the first defence of his Commonwealth super-bantamweight title against Sean Davis, only to damage ankle ligaments after a nasty fall in the gym on Friday.
He was finally withdrawn from Saturday’s show – topped by Sam Eggington v Frankie Gavin – and although his fight will not be chief support at the Barclaycard Arena, Kal is delighted to be boxing close to home again.
