Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving experienced tightness in his calf during Tuesday’s preseason game against the Washington Wizards, per Joe Gabriele of the team’s official website.

Irving Ruled Out for the Game Tuesday, Oct. 18
Gabriele noted the Cavaliers decided to hold Irving out for the rest of the game after the first-half tightness, especially since it was just a preseason contest.
One of the few knocks on Irving throughout his career is his durability. He played 53 games in 2015-16 and has never appeared in more than 75 games in a single campaign since he entered the league as the No. 1 pick in the 2011 draft. Irving also played a mere 11 games in his one collegiate season at Duke.
