UFC Holding Firm On Georges St-Pierre’s Future, UFC Cleans House, Cause Of Josh Samman’s Death

– The UFC isn’t just going to let former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre leave without a fight it appears. Hours after GSP stated on “The MMA Hour” that he was a free agent, the UFC released a statement saying otherwise.
“Georges St-Pierre remains under an existing agreement with Zuffa, LLC as his MMA promoter,” the statement read. “Zuffa intends to honor its agreement with St-Pierre and reserves its rights under the law to have St-Pierre do the same.”
St-Pierre had claimed that his lawyer terminated a contract with the UFC after they failed to successfully find him a fight. He said he had been negotiating a new deal prior to the purchase of the promotion by WME|IMG.
