Wigan nick late point at Leeds

Shaun MacDonald hit an injury-time equaliser as relegation-threatened Wigan rescued a 1-1 draw at Leeds.
It had looked like Leeds would make it four home Championship wins on the bounce after Chris Wood’s eighth goal of the campaign.
But MacDonald rifled home in the first minute of stoppage time with the aid of the post as the visitors got their reward for a dogged defensive effort.
Leeds dominated the majority of the game but failed to close the win out with Adam Bogdan pulling off smart second-half saves to deny Luke Ayling, Alex Mowatt and Wood.
United’s Pontus Jansson also had a powerful header cleared off the line by the impressive Jake Buxton.
Wigan had their moments and should have levelled in the first half when Michael Jacobs hit the outside of the post from close range.
Kemar Roofe fired wide on 12 minutes for Leeds following excellent work down the left by Charlie Taylor.
Buxton read the play superbly to rob Hadi Sacko of the ball as the United winger broke into the box on 22 minutes.
