- Updated: October 18, 2016
Real Madrid’s unbeaten start to the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League season continued with a 5-1 victory over Legia Warsaw on Tuesday evening, while Borussia Dortmund clinched a 2-1 victory at Sporting CP.
Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane made four changes to the side that beat Real Betis 6-1 on Saturday, with Gareth Bale getting on the scoresheet alongside Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Alvaro Morata.
Elsewhere, the 10 men of Juventus managed to beat Lyon away from home largely thanks to the heroics of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, while Tottenham Hotspur and Bayer Leverkusen laboured to a bore draw in Germany.
FC Porto came from a goal behind to take a 2-1 victory at Club Brugge, while Leicester City defeated FC Copenhagen 1-0 to clinch a third win in as many group games and ensure they’ll at least have a future in the UEFA Europa League.
Read on for a breakdown of Tuesday’s Champions League scores, complete with a look to the updated group standings after the latest batch of results.
