Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Thiago Silva and Alessio Romagnoli

Chelsea could make a renewed attempt at bolstering their defensive line in the January transfer window after new details surrounding Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva and AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli emerged.

The agent of PSG superstar Silva, Paulo Tonietto, spoke to French newspaper Le Parisien (h/t Metro’s Mark Brus) and speculated his client could leave Paris if he fails to land the contract he’s seeking:

It is very important for everyone – both for us and for PSG – that everything is clear by December. We can imagine leaving PSG if the club have not made us an offer by then. We already have offers from three or four big teams.

But Thiago’s desire is to stay at PSG. He is feeling very well in Paris, as is his family.

But it all depends on what the club want.

That means the Blues could know by December exactly their chances of signing the Brazil international, who moved to Parc des Princes from Milan in 2012 as one of Europe’s highest-rated defenders.

Silva was exiled from the Brazil national team for a time under some of the side’s previous managers, but new boss Tite has given the totem a recall, as illustrated by Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Johnson:
