Liverpool managed a point after earning a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United at the Leigh Sports Village in the U23 Premier League on Tuesday night. Creative midfielder Harry Wilson finished with aplomb to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break, but Josh Harrop hit back from the penalty spot for United early in the second half.
A strong Liverpool squad featuring first-team experience in the form of striker Danny Ings and centre-back Mamadou Sakho might have won it late on, but the former was denied from close range deep into stoppage time.
