Trainer Clive Cox is looking forward to testing My Dream Boat over longer distances next season following his admirable effort in Saturday’s Qipco Champion Stakes.
A surprise winner of the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, the four-year-old has come up a little short at the very highest level since.
However, he performed creditably in both the Coral-Eclipse and the Irish Champion Stakes before finishing fourth behind French superstar Almanzor, Arc heroine Found and last season’s Irish Derby winner Jack Hobbs on Champions Day.
