Usain Bolt and Kendra Harrison among World Athlete of the Year nominees

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has announced 20 nominees for its World Athlete of the Year awards.
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, who completed a ‘triple triple’ of Olympic sprint gold medals in Rio this summer, and Britain’s Mo Farah, who retained both his Olympic 5000m and 10,000m titles in Brazil, are among those nominated for the men’s award.
USA’s world 100m hurdles record-breaker Kendra Harrison and Poland’s Anita Wlodarczyk, who improved her own hammer world record in Rio to claim Olympic gold, are among those in the running for the women’s honour.
