Serbia – Maric’s double-double lands him 2MLS Player of the Week award

Petar Maric 29-year old forward Petar Maric (205-F-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for Zlatibor and receives a Eurobasket.com 2MLS Player of the Week award for round 2.He had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Vojvodina NS (#8, 1-1) with 18-point margin 99-81. Zlatibor is placed at 4th position in Serbian 2MLS. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Zlatibor won both games without losing any. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Maric had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Zlatibor and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Maric has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (6th best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 60.0% from behind 3-point line.Second best performed player last round was Nemanja Arsic (214-C-85) of Velika Plana.
