Bauer’s bloody pinkie forces exit in first

TORONTO — The Indians’ fears played out after just 21 pitches Monday evening. That’s how many starter Trevor Bauer threw before exiting Game 3 of the American League Championship Series against the Blue Jays as a stream of blood dripped from his lacerated right pinkie finger.

Cleveland was aware of the possibility, after Bauer endured the injury while performing maintenance on his drone Thursday evening, but hoped for better.
