There were ups and downs for several drivers in Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Kevin Harvick We’ve all seen this movie before, and Harvick & Co. played it out again on Sunday. Whenever the 2014 Sprint Cup Series champion gets into trouble in the elimination-style Chase, he rises to the occasion. His Kansas win puts Harvick into the Round of 8 and staves off elimination yet again.
Carl Edwards He still hasn’t won a Sprint Cup race at his home track, but Edwards was plenty strong on Sunday. It’s a good sign for the No. 19 team, which in recent weeks has been overshadowed by the performance of other Joe Gibbs Racing entries.
Austin Dillon A nice bounce-back for the Richard Childress Racing driver after last week’s Charlotte disappointment. Dillon’s top-10 Kansas performance pulled him out of the depths of the Chase standings …
