Malik Scott says he wanted a high-risk fight with Luis Ortiz and had also been pursuing the big punching duo of Anthony Joshua and David Haye.
The American was last week confirmed as the latest opponent for the unbeaten Ortiz in a bill-topping heavyweight battle in Monte Carlo on November 12, live on Sky Sports.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has added Ortiz to his Matchroom Boxing stable and hopes to move ‘King Kong’ towards a world title shot in 2017.
