Griffiths makes Twitter joke

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has responded to a suggestion from Scotland boss Gordon Strachan that he is too small to lead the line for his country by changing his Twitter name to #Shorty.
The 26-year-old has struggled to win a place in the national team despite impressing for Celtic since joining the club from Wolves in January 2014.
Griffiths hit 40 goals last season for the Hoops and he has scored eight times already this season, with five of them coming at European level.
But Strachan has gone with Derby’s Chris Martin and Steven Fletcher of Sheffield Wednesday up top in Scotland’s three World Cup Qualifiers so far.
Griffiths – who measures up at 5ft, 8ins – has been limited to two substitute appearances this time round following on from the grand total of 15 minutes he was given by …
