Lithuania – Beniusis’ double-double lands him NKL Player of the Week award

SarunasBeniusis 23-year old power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-F/C-93) had a great game in the last round for Rasai and receives a Eurobasket.com NKL Player of the Week award for round 4.He had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Mazeikiai (#12, 1-3) with 26-point margin 84-58. Rasai is placed at 3rd position in Lithuania NKL. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost that single game earlier this season. Rasai will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Beniusis turned to be Rasai’s top player in his first season with the team. Beniusis has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (8th best: 7.3rpg) and averages solid 79.4% FGP.Second best performed player last round was Darius Griskenas (194-F-84) of Delikatesas. He is a forward in his 2nd season at Delikatesas. In the last game Griskenas recorded impressive 28 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
