Hazen hired as D-backs’ general manager

Mike Hazen, who spent the 2016 season as the Red Sox’s senior vice president and general manager following four seasons as the club’s assistant GM, was hired to be the Arizona Diamondbacks’ executive VP and GM on Sunday.
During his 11 seasons with Boston, the Red Sox reached the postseason five times, winning 2 World Series championships (2007 and ’13).
