Source: Getz to oversee Sox player development

CHICAGO — Chris Getz will replace Nick Capra as the White Sox director of player development, a Major League source confirmed Sunday to MLB.com. Capra was named the team’s third-base coach for the 2017 season on Friday, and the announcement on Getz figures to come sometime this week. The club has not commented on the hiring.
Getz, 33, was taken by the White Sox in the fourth round of the 2005 MLB Draft out of the University of Michigan. The second baseman started for the White …
