Ligue 1: Gomis hands Marseille win

Bafetimbi Gomis’ first-half strike was enough to clinch Marseille a much-needed 1-0 home win against Metz.
Gomis fired the decisive goal in the 13th minute of the clash when he lashed the ball home from close range following a corner.
It was the former Swansea striker’s sixth goal of the season and secured Marseille just their third win of the Ligue 1 campaign.
Bordeaux defender Nicolas Pallois’ first goal of the season earned his side a point and ended Rennes’ 100 per cent home record.
