Cowboys vs. Packers: Score and Twitter Reaction from 2016 Regular Season
- Updated: October 17, 2016
Everyone has said the right things. When Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo comes back from injury, the starting quarterback job is his. There is no quarterback controversy.
Except once again Sunday, Dak Prescott proved there totally is.
Prescott threw three touchdowns in another strong performance without wide receiver Dez Bryant, leading the Cowboys to a 30-16 win over the Green Bay Packers.
The Cowboys head into their bye 5-1 and winners of five straight. Prescott has been at the helm for all six games, going his first 176 NFL passes without throwing an interception. He threw his first career pick and lost his second fumble against Green Bay, but it did little to quell the enthusiasm about his budding stardom.

Taking equal credit is Ezekiel Elliott, who recorded his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game. The former Ohio State standout racked up 157 yards on his 28 carries; it’s his third consecutive contest averaging more than five yards per attempt. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit is impressed with the two rookies:
The @dallascowboys look for real with Dak Prescott at QB and Zeke at RB. New energy has them playing with confidence. #DALvsGB
