Salazar throws sim game at Rogers Centre
- Updated: October 17, 2016
TORONTO — The Indians are two wins away from reaching the World Series, meaning Danny Salazar’s comeback bid still has a heartbeat.
During Sunday’s American League Championship Series workout at Rogers Centre, Salazar not only was with the team north of the border, but the right-hander also worked through a simulated game on the field. Cleveland, which holds a 2-0 lead over the Blue Jays in this best-of-seven series, left Salazar off the ALCS roster due to his ongoing right forearm issue.
