All-out approach benefits A-Gon on homer

LOS ANGELES — Asked what needed to change for the Dodgers prior to Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday, Adrian Gonzalez responded by saying, “It’s just a matter of getting it done.”
Then, in the first inning of a 6-5 win that evened the series and forced a Game 5 (Thursday at 5 or 8 p.m. ET/2 or 5 p.m. PT on FS1), Gonzalez did exactly that.
The first baseman launched a two-run homer off Nationals starter Joe Ross into the right-field pavilion, giving Los Angeles yet another first-inning lead — this time, 2-1. In doing so, Gonzalez seemingly shook himself out of a 2-for-13 slump to start the series.
