Nats, Dodgers learn game start time when they wake up
- Updated: October 11, 2016
LOS ANGELES — It may seem cruel that the 11:43 p.m. PT end to the Giants’ 6-5 walk-off win on Monday would necessitate an early day at Dodger Stadium for L.A. and Washington, but many on both teams found a workaround: They simply slept through the Cubs-Giants tilt.
Neither Dusty Baker nor Dave Roberts watched the end of the Cubs-Giants contest — the outcome of which determined first-pitch time for the other National League Division Series — to learn that Nationals-Dodgers Game 4 would start at 5 p.m. ET/2 PT today (FS1), as opposed to three hours later.
Both teams were still jet-lagged from a cross-country trip on Sunday night.
