VTB United League – Harper number one in VTB United League for round 2

DemonteHarper American Guard Demonte Harper (193-G-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kalev/Cramo, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2.The 27-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Parma (#11, 0-1) 86-72. Kalev/Cramo is placed at 3rd position in VTB United League. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Kalev/Cramo won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Harper had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Kalev/Cramo’s top player in his first season with the team. Former Morehead State University star has very solid stats this year. Harper is league’s best scorer averaging so far 29.0ppg.
