Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Riyad Mahrez and Michael Keane

Leicester City talisman Riyad Mahrez has insisted he has no regrets after speculation of a move to Arsenal over the summer came to nothing. Meanwhile, the Gunners’ chances of landing Burnley’s Michael Keane have reportedly improved.
Mahrez was the subject of a summer’s worth of transfer gossip, but links with a move to the Emirates Stadium amounted to nought as he signed a four-year contract extension, and he holds no regrets, per ESPN FC’s Ian Holyman:
I was in a difficult situation.
Of course I was going to cost a lot, Leicester wanted to keep me, there was the Champions League.
There was contact with Arsenal, contact with other teams. At the moment of the offer, they didn’t want to enter into a conflict with Leicester. Personally, staying was a very good thing for me, too. I know the coach has confidence in me, and it’s up to me to prove myself for a second year. After that, we’ll see.
