Spirit Of Kayf could be given a campaign tailored around making an outing in the Pertemps Final at next year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Trainer Sandy Thomson has hinted the three-mile Listed handicap could be a suitable long-term target for the five-year-old.
After finishing down the field in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham on his final start last term, the gelded son of Kayf Tara made a winning debut over hurdles on his seasonal return at Hexham last month.
