Blue Jays’ sweep buys Travis time to heal

TORONTO — Devon Travis was not in the lineup for the Blue Jays’ 7-6 walk-off win in 10 innings over the Rangers on Sunday because of a bone bruise in his right knee, but Toronto’s victory in the American League Division Series buys the second baseman some time to heal so he can return this postseason.
Had the ALDS gone to Game 4, Travis may have been removed from the ALDS roster, which would have made him ineligible for the AL Championship Series.
