Andy Murray continues his quest to become the year-end world No 1 when the big-hitters land in Shanghai for the Rolex Masters next week, live on Sky Sports.
Murray sealed his fifth title of the year in Beijing on Sunday and will now be aiming to lift the trophy in Shanghai for a third time, having won in 2010 and 2011.
The 500-point haul for Murray after his victory over Grigor Dimitrov means he has cut Novak Djokovic’s lead from 4,695 points to 3,695 points and kept his dream of toppling him by the end of the year alive.
The top-ranked Serbian will be back seeking a record fourth title after prevailing in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
