Port Vale seal first away win
- Updated: October 9, 2016
Port Vale secured their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory over MK Dons at Stadium:mk on Sunday.
A first-half goal from Alex Jones sealed all three points for the visitors as MK Dons’ misery continues in their search for a first league victory at home.
The hosts came agonisingly close to grabbing a late point when Ben Reeves rattled the crossbar with the last kick of the game, but it wasn’t to be for Karl Robinson’s side.
It was MK Dons who looked to assert some early pressure on their opponents, pressing high in the opening half-hour and passing the ball well as they looked to maintain possession.
Jak Alnwick was called into action just six minutes into the game, reacting well to produce a smart save from Kieran Agard’s goal-bound header.
