Rainout alters Dodgers’ NLDS rotation
- Updated: October 8, 2016
WASHINGTON — If there was any debate as to the Dodgers’ rotation plans for the rest of their National League Division Series against the Nationals, Saturday’s postponement appears to have ended it. Game 2 will now take place at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT, FS1) on Sunday.
If a Game 4 is necessary, the Dodgers will hand the ball to rookie left-hander Julio Urias, with ace Clayton Kershaw slated to take the ball in Game 5.
“Before we started the series, Julio was our Game 4 starter with the thought of potentially bringing Kersh back on short rest,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “But with the situation, as it’s played out, Julio will be starting Game 4.”
