Germany progressed to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 after a 2-0 victory over Cameroon at the Prince Mohammed International Stadium in Zarqa in the last matchday of Group B. Germany were in control for large parts of the match and Giulia Gwinn continued her fine run of form in the tournament with an early goal, before substitute Lena Oberdorf bundled in a goal in the second half from a free-kick to double their lead and assure them a place in the knockout stages.
