Kershaw not in top form in NLDS opener
- Updated: October 8, 2016
WASHINGTON — Clayton Kershaw didn’t exactly quiet his postseason detractors with his performance on Friday night at Nationals Park. But the Dodgers’ ace exited Game 1 of the National League Division Series with a 4-3 lead, nonetheless.
After 101 grueling pitches, Kershaw exited the contest having allowed three earned runs on eight hits over five frames. He struck out seven, while his much-maligned postseason ERA jumped to 4.65.
