CLEVELAND — David Price’s troubling trend of struggling in the postseason continued on Friday, when he was knocked out after recording just 10 outs in Game 2 of the American League Division Series against the Indians.
Already down, 1-0, in the series after a tough 5-4 loss on Thursday night, the Red Sox needed a strong performance from their veteran lefty.
Instead, Price got in trouble quickly, giving up a four-spot in the second inning. The biggest blow was a laser-beam, three-run homer down the right-field line by Lonnie Chisenhall. The low liner just cleared the wall in the corner, traveling at an exit velocity of 106 mph, according to Statcast™.
